How to export products
from a website to Excel.
Open the shop page, click the extension icon, download the .xlsx. You get one row per product with the name, price, list price, SKU, description and image links, and the prices are real numbers you can sort and add up. This guide covers the steps, what lands in each column, and what to do when a shop is read wrongly.

Install Web Product Scraper, open the shop page that lists the products, click the extension icon and press the .XLSX button. For more than one page, or for full descriptions, go through the four steps and press Download .xlsx at the end. The file opens in Excel, Google Sheets or LibreOffice with one row per product.
- Add Web Product Scraper to Chrome. It is free and needs no account.
- Open the collection, category or search page that shows the products.
- Click the extension icon. The products of the page appear as a table.
- Press ⬇ .XLSX to save this page now, or Continue to add more pages and product details.
- After the run, open the Excel tab, check the five-row preview and press Download .xlsx.
What is in the spreadsheet
One sheet called Products. A column appears only when the shop actually has that data, so there are no empty columns to delete.
Price and list price apart
The selling price and the struck-out or M.R.P. price are separate columns, with the currency in its own column. Both are numbers, so SUM, sorting and filters work straight away.
Image and video links
image_1, image_2 and onwards, up to twelve, plus an image_count column, and the same for videos. With product pages opened, or on Shopify, the links point at the full-size files.
Your own codes
Type a prefix such as XX and the first column becomes XX-001, XX-002, in the order the shop lists the products.
Description and product link
The full description when product pages are opened, and the address of each product so you can go back to it.
Rows worth a second look
The needs_review column names the fields to check on a row, such as a missing price or a value read from weak markup, so you check those few by hand instead of every row.
The four steps in detail
Data setup
The panel shows what the page gives, as a table. Remove columns you do not need with the × on the header, and add a code prefix if you want one.
Pages and scrolling
Choose a page range, for example page 1 to 5; the listing's page count is shown. Listings that grow as you scroll, or behind a Load more button, are handled here too.
Product pages
Tick "Open every product page" for descriptions, SKUs and full galleries. A few open at a time in one collapsed tab group, and close themselves. Shopify shops are read from their product feed instead, with no tabs.
Scrape and download
Press Start scraping and watch the count. Then open the Excel tab, check the preview of the first five rows, and press Download .xlsx. Chrome asks where to save it.
Excel, CSV or JSON?
Excel (.xlsx)
For opening, sorting and sharing. Prices stay numbers and long descriptions stay in one cell.
CSV
For importing into another shop: Shopify, WooCommerce and most marketplaces take CSV. It is saved as UTF-8 with the marker Excel needs, so ₹ and other symbols show correctly.
JSON
For developers and scripts. Every field, including all image links, in one file.
When the sheet is not right
Prices or names are missing or wrong. Open "Teach this site", press Pick next to the field, and click the right value on the page. Save the profile, and every later run on that shop uses it.
Only the first page came through. In step 2, set the page range, or choose scrolling or the Load more button, depending on how the shop shows more products.
No SKUs or short descriptions. Listings rarely carry them. Tick "Open every product page" in step 3 and run again.
Products appear once even though they come in several sizes or colours. That is by design: one row per product. Variants are not split into separate rows.
A product is already in the list from an earlier run. It is skipped, so running the same shop again adds only what is new.
